Doing business seems like an easy enough to say, but some people really seem to have trouble with actually doing it.  Keeping appointments when you make them, showing up on time for the appointment that you made, being prepared for the appointment that you made.  Makes sense right?  Then why would you make an appointment and be several hours late? You should be considerate of the other person that has taken the time from their day and scheduled time to meet you.  Why would you not confirm the appointment?  Especially if you are making a long drive to this appointment?  As a licensed REALTOR here in Jacksonville NC I have been dealing with this type of issue the entire time.  It’s almost like the potential client is afraid to be “caught” by a person that could help them. Perhaps they are afraid that they will owe the REALTOR a fee for their time, but in most cases here in Jacksonville NC we don’t charge a fee up front, our compensation comes from either the Seller at closing or the Rental company they end up renting from.  Truth is that if you work with a professional they should be able to help you through this process and point you in the right direction for whatever it is that works for you. Odds are you are only making it a little more stressful on you and your family. Only you can let yourself be stuck.  No one should make you keep working with them if you really just don’t feel they have your best interest at heart.

You need to ask yourself what it is that you are really afraid of.  Is it that you have some credit issues?  Or you don’t want anyone in your personal business?  Well, if you honestly and truly want to purchase a home you are going to need to allow the mortgage person to have the financial information they need to make sure you are a good candidate for a mortgage.  The REALTOR doesn’t need to know the details, they just need the mortgage person that you are working with to let them know what price range you are qualified for.  So, you need to find a few people that you trust i.e. the REALTOR you choose and the Mortgage person that you choose to work with.  They will be very helpful in guiding you through this process.  While it can be stressful, having the proper guidance can make the difference for you.  Please interview a few of those professionals and see who you think you can trust and go from there.  I have helped many buyers and sellers over the years and I would be glad to interview with you.  I think you will find me to be knowledgeable as well as trustworthy.  I have several testimonials on my website as well as reviews on Zillow & Trulia.  So, if you are ready to move, give me a call, I’d love to help!
